i liked the way we could arrive and get our keys at any time . the position of Brandon is great short walk every were ,train.ferry.wharf museum.etc
The pictures that are on the website did not reflect what the actual room looked like. Although listed as child friendly, it was not child proof eg glass table, oven at a height where can easily be turned on by children.
Great value for money, right in the heart of the city. Enjoyed an excellent dinner at bar and grill close by. Steaks were superb!
no parking, smelly room, poor ventilation, no AC, uncomforable beds
Good comfortable 2 bedroom apartment
Not a problem but lack of view and sunshine a disadvantage
Very little a liked about this so called hotel, the reception is located in another building 20 minutes walk away.
Pretty much everything
Liked the fact that the heaters had been left on so I arrived to a warm room
Brandon guide was out of date and teh washing machine didn't work. Because there is no reception it's difficult to get attention to these things
i loved the location, it was right in the city centre, 10 mins walk to te papa and house of parliment. shops across the road, great resturants within walking distance... excellent location. the apartment was fine small but adaquate for us.
the nonly down side was there was four of us staying in the apartment and the lounge suite olny seated three people so one had to sit on the floor. would have been nice to have two two seaters.
The only thing i like was the bed was comfortable
When we arrived we were put to the back of the appartments it was old and grotty and made us feel instantly depressed, we had booked a room with a balcony as advertised, i rang the company and they said to me the fire escape was the balcony, it looked into an alley, when we opened the curtains in the lounge we were viewing into another building lounge. I complained and we were moved, this room was situated at the front of the building, slightly better, The room was extremely small in the lounge, we had booked for 4 adults, but there was ony 3 chairs. I will never again stay in this accomodation or any related to this, the photos on the web do not truely show how the actual facility, I will be recommending all my family and friends also hospital associates never to book at on of these, it will also be going on my face page. This was my 50th birthday will family and friends and i was extremely disappointed. we also left a pair of boots in the first appartment, it took 3 days to get a hold of the hotel owners and retrieve them, people save hard for what was meant to be an enjoyable experience, we felt we had to go out more than we had wished as the place was so depressing. Regards Rose Heays
Booking arrangements were very easy to make. The good location served our work purposes well, as were able to walk everywhere we needed/wanted to, including shopping/socially in the evenings. As we were on the 6th floor having elevator access was essential. As we had booked a self catering apartment there were no staff involved on site, but telephone advice was readily available.
We were a couple in a two bedroom apartment, which worked well for us, but with only three dining chairs and lounge seating for three it could have been difficult with four people.
Location and having two bedrooms, and double glazing (quiet) with view from balcony. Now that i know the foibles would stay again. Restaurant downstairs did a quality and affordable lunch. Art gallery next door was entertaining. Rarely heard any fellow guests. My kids want to go back because they could walk to waterfront, Te Papa, Railway station, shops, my office, etc., easily bus to Zoo. Thank you.
Radio... squeeeked during night, even when turned off, apparently due to electrics from elevsator or other guests using cell phone or?? Radio is cheap but took us a while (five days) to pull it from the wall and hide in a closet) THe toilet button is not well designed and easily becomes disconnected. No service to room so had to make do with same towels, soap. toilet paper etc.
The apartment was conveniently located, well appointed, clean, comfortable and warm. It was perfect for our needs, only sorry that we didn't think to pre-book for our one night back in Wellington before flying home.
I had a 2 bedroom apartment and rang and confirmed that the bedding configuration would be one double room and one twin room. However, when we arrived, we had 2 double rooms which most definitly did not suit us!!!! We arrived late and had little time until we had to make an appointment so had no time to ring and sort it out. very dissapointed.
The location is excellent for anything held at the TSB arena as it is right next door to Kirkcaldies. Sheets were clean and great to see an additional sheet on top of the duvet - often wonder about the cleanliness of those???
The accommodation was booked for 4 people in an apartment suitable for 4 people and yet there were only 3 chairs at the dining table and 3 seats in the TV area. The apartments are small. The apartment was very basic in terms of equipment - it did not even have a coffee plunger and only 4 plates, knives etc. The price was similar to staying in other apartments in Wellington but this apartment was not serviced at all during our stay so possibly not actually that good a deal. The apartment was warm with 3 heaters - much needed as the bedding was very thin with no additional bedding on offer.
Great size apartment (we stayed in a 2bdrm). Really warm, (three oil heaters), exceptionally clean, awesome shower, fully equipped kitchen with sufficient cooking utensils etc, and lovely private (not shared) balcony. Amazingly quiet, minimal street noise and the only noise we heard from within the building was the neighbours door closing now and then. Awesome location, right in the CBD which is what we wanted. We would definately stay there again and cannot wait to go back! I booked this last minute after reading some negative feedback on my original booking at another place, so glad I did. Highly recomment to all.
Hard to fault but we didnt have channel 1 and 3 for the first couple of days (we stayed for a week), this was fixed within 24 hrs of notifying desk and the lift broke down twice (the last time was on the last day, glad we were moving out not in with all our luggage), this was also fixed promptly the first time.
